If you’re looking for a farm to visit today... well, we aren’t there yet! Right now, Folded in Grace is a dream on paper, a logo on a screen, and a 10-year fire in our hearts. We don’t have the fences or the acreage in the ground yet, but we are officially planting the seeds.

We’re taking a decade to do this right. To study the land, to obsess over the health of the Highland breed, and to build a sanctuary in the Virginia hills that will stand for generations.

The Myth of the "Mini"

At Folded in Grace, we are deep admirers of the Highland breed’s natural majesty. While the term "Mini Highland" has become a popular trend, the truth is that there is no official breed classification for a miniature Highland cow. Often, "mini" is a marketing term used to describe smaller-framed cattle or young calves.

We believe that the best things are grown with integrity, not just for an aesthetic. Our journey is dedicated to researching and sourcing a future fold based on health, temperament, and structural soundness rather than just size.

Why it Matters

Selective breeding solely for reduced size can lead to unintended health problems.

Our goal is a fold that is happy, healthy, and hardy. We will never compromise the well-being of our animals to follow a market trend.

They say the best time to start was 20 years ago; the second best time is right now! We’re trading 'someday' for today and kicking off a countdown centered around what matters most. We’re cheering our four kids through graduation and finishing this season well before our boots hit the actual dirt. We’re prepping the soil and our souls today so we can welcome you to the fold tomorrow!

Current Chapter: We’re heading to Oklahoma in June 2026 to train with the team at Cowgirl Confident! Follow along as we learn the ropes.
